Work Permit in Azerbaijan

Why is Work Permit Needed?

A work permit secures a person’s right to live and work in a foreign country. Having a valid work permit is an ethical way to enter a  foreign nation for employment and avoid any immigration-related hassle. Azerbaijan has a provision of short-term stay e-visa for citizens of several countries. All foreign nationals require an Azerbaijan work permit to work in the country for a longer duration officially.

About the Azerbaijan Job Market

Azerbaijan has a growing economy thanks to its rich oil and gas reserves welcoming foreign investments. Apart from the oil and gas industry, the labor force in Azerbaijan is divided into the service industry, agriculture, and forestry. Thanks to its rich natural resource wealth, the country is slowly seeing an influx of foreign employees.

Azerbaijan immigration requires every foreign national entering the country to have an entry visa.

The Azerbaijan entry visas are further divided into several categories depending on the purpose of visit as under:

This visa is issued to foreigners seeking entry into Azerbaijan for short-term tourism purposes. It cannot be extended.
