Overtime Pay
The standard working hours in Ghana are 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week. The law does not fix the rate of overtime remuneration. However, below are the rates that employees generally receive for overtime hours.

Employers usually submit the application requirements to the GIS before their employees reach the country to work. The validity of the work permit is one year, further can be renewed and extended.
