Offboarding & Termination

The employer can terminate the employment contract based on any misconduct from the employee. Employees will receive any left-out remuneration and payslips after the termination of employment.

The notice period in Ireland varies as per the length of employment, as given below:

The Irish laws demand employees to complete at least two years of continuous service to qualify for severance pay. This pay is calculated as two weeks’ pay for each year of service, and an additional week’s pay.

Visa and Immigration

In Ireland, the visas are classified into two categories: the European Nationals (EEA) and the other for Non-European Nationals (Non-EEA). Only the Employment contract is required for EEA members, whereas Non-EEA members must apply for a work permit and green card. The validity of the Green card is two years and can be renewed further.
