Overtime Pay
The standard working hours in Haiti are 48 hours for a six-day workweek. The Haitian Labor Law allows overtime of maximum 80 hours per quarter, payable at a rate of 50% above the regular hourly rate.

Both employer and employee can terminate the employment relationship by giving proper notice. Employer also can terminate the employment contract based on the following reasons:
Employees who have completed three months of service are only required to give termination notice. The notice period varies based on service length, as given below:

Visa and Immigration
Foreign nationals who want to work in Haiti, need to have a work permit. They need to apply for work permits at the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. The individual applying for Haiti work permits has to be 21 years old and above, have non-Haitian travel documents, and have plans to stay in Haiti for more than three years.
