Both parties, employee and employer, can terminate the employment contract with a notice period. Moreover, if the contract specifies a limited time period of employment, it will terminate automatically after the completion. In Chad, the severance pay varies on the years of service provided as well as the reason for dismissal. If any of the parties terminate the employment contract with no misconduct, the employees are entitled to severance pay:
