SaaStr APAC 2023 was the first of its kind event for B2B/SaaS companies in the Asia-Pacific region. It took place on February 22–23 at the Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre and brought together 1139 SaaS founders, revenue leaders, executives, and VCs from 32 countries.
Multiplier had a blast attending SaaStr’s first event! Our team was fortunate enough to listen to the keynote session, connect with existing partners and customers, and learn about the future of the B2B/SaaS community in the areas where we deliver the greatest value to our clients.

Keynote Nuggets: SaaStr Insights to Drive Success
Educational sessions were aplenty during this year’s convention. And it was bolstered by the industry’s renowned leaders sharing their predictions for 2023 and presenting comprehensive reports on the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities. Some of the sessions focused on offering insights around fundraising, efficient growth, buyer behavior, and navigating the market’s turbulence.
SaaStr CEO Jason Lemkin highlighted the distribution of successes and downturns for SaaS companies in 2023. With valuations being conservative due to turbulent markets, he advised that businesses must have a rigid operating model to attract investors and must seek advice from fellow CEOs, VCs, and even managers.
Anant Vidur Puri from Bessemer Venture Partners added that by tracking the efficiency of sales enablement and product improvement, businesses could run efficiently and achieve sustainable growth.
Despite the unpredictability and possibility of an economic slump, keynote speakers at the event reiterated the strong ongoing demand for SaaS solutions. Chris Perrine from G2 Asia Pacific opined that credible content is vital in reaching out to buyers and helping them make informed decisions. Educating decision-makers will establish trust and propel business profitability forward, he added.
Beyond the Keynotes: Bonding Over Business Insights, Perspectives, and Expertise on Display
Exhibitors and booths play an essential role in creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere at events and SaaStr APAC 2023 was no different. Some of the key exhibitors alongside Multiplier were Vanta, Lark, Chargebee offer solutions to help businesses succeed in today’s fast-paced and ever-changing digital landscape.
Multiplier’s booth featuring a prize wheel invited the attention of many. The attendees who visited the stall had insightful conversations with our executives and managers on how Multiplier is solving the talent crunch and global expansion problems for businesses across the globe.
Bonding Over Business Insights: Braindates and Networking
Brain dates at SaaStr APAC offered a unique opportunity for Multiplier to connect with fellow attendees in a more intimate and focused setting. This activity allowed mentors to talk to smaller groups of people and discuss more specific questions about sales, marketing, fundraising, growth strategies, and many more. Over 100+ mentors were available during the event, with some even having one-on-one sessions with top leaders.
Multiplier’s APAC & EMEA Sales Director, Hassen Mouffokk was one of the mentors at the event. Hassen shared his knowledge on various topics, such as global hiring, understanding the marketing funnel, and managing a sales team. These one-on-one sessions allowed for personalized learning and discussion on specific topics of interest, fostering deeper connections and collaborations within the SaaS community.
Panel Discussions: Building Culture and Profitability
There were also numerous panel discussions hosted by CEOs, founders and top-level managers to talk about their experiences in building their businesses from scratch. As more SaaS companies go global, human resources tend to be more diverse than ever.
Multiplier CEO and Co-founder Sagar Khatri opened his talk by emphasizing the importance of hiring the right people and cultivating a culture that properly aligns with the company’s goals. Bianca Ho, Co-Founder & COO of WATI, added that observing a culture of positive reinforcement helps further motivate a growing team and improve morale.
Building a global team also coincides with ensuring profitability for the company. The product’s profitability will be reflected when cultures are aligned and transparent across the organization. Prashanth Prakash, Partner at Accel, explained how product information must be aligned from C-levels down to engineering, sales, and marketing teams to enable the entire company to pull in one direction.
